Pascal Bouchard Chablis

France > Burgundy > Chablis

Description:
Pascal Bouchard is a relatively large domaine in Chablis, with some 56 acres planted in the Chablis AOC, 13 acres planted in Chablis Premier Cru, and nearly 4 acres in the top quality grade, Chablis Grand Cru. This offers them the full range of appellations in the area, including a small portion of Petit Chablis (7.5 acres), which is starting to make a comeback because of its modest price.

The firm owes its origins to the Tremblay family, who established the cellars a century ago. Through marriage, the Tremblays were united with Pascal Bouchard in the 1980s and the firm assumed this new name. Since the 1990s, Pascal Bouchard constructed new wine cellars and also arranged for contacts with local Chablis and Auxerre winegrowers to supplement the production.

To ensure freshness, Pascal Bouchard Chablis are vinified and aged in stainless steel, except for the Grande Réserve wines and the Grands Crus, which are vinified and aged in oak.

A long tradition of quality, as well as a complete range of offerings, makes Pascal Bouchard one of the most important growers in the Chablis area.
